Showcase Hoops is all about developing basketball players for professional opportunities. We hold hold workouts, competitive tryout camps, and international tours to place US players with pro foreign teams.

Brian Semonian is the Founder and Senior Talent Evaluator. Brian has spent over a decade training and evaluating top basketball talent, and leads all training and selection camps for Showcase Hoops. He has spent time as a coach and a movement specialist for the Anaheim Arsenal of the NBA Development League and numerous collegiate basketball programs including The University of Arizona and Columbia University. Brian was also Athletic Director for a large Los Angeles high school, managing the recruiting process for hundreds of Division I athletes. He currently coaches at Xavier High School in Manhattan.

Mike Jacobs is the Director of Operations. Mike has over a decade of experience in management, leading organizations from $50 million marketing agencies to record labels to startups. For the past 8 years, Mike was co-owner and Chief Services Officer for iMarketing LTD, an online marketing agency named Named "Agency of the Year" at the CJ Horizon awards and twice named to the Inc. 5000. Mike graduated from Yale University magna cum laude with a BA in Economics, and has also toured the world with his band, Evil Jake, which was featured on MTV, Bravo, NBC, in several movies, and in Sports Illustrated. Mike is an avid basketball fan and Knicks season ticket holder. His grandfather, great uncle, and mother also attended St. John's, and they're much better than Yale in basketball...


John Coffino is the current head coach of the Albany Legends of the Independent Basketball Association. Previously, John was head coach of the Albuquerque Thunderbirds  of the NBA Developmental League where he coached Alando Tucker, DJ Strawberry (Phoenix Suns), Carlos Powell (NBA player), Kevin Pittsnogle, Keith McLeod (NBA), and Antoine Agudio. Before joining the professional ranks, John spent 9 years as assistant coach at Iona College, Niagara University, and St. Peter’s College, leading each program to MAAC Championship games. As a collegiate coach Coffino gained a national reputation for his ability to identify outstanding talent and effectively recruit both high school and junior college players. John has also been a West Coast scout for the NBA with Clibhoops.net Draft Services, and an NCAA Tournament analyst for ESPN Radio.
